June 1:

Six counter insurgents of SOG were injured and I civilian killed in an encounter with militants at Narkara (Budgam) 1 militant was eliminated by troops in Kashmir valley.  Security forces recovered AK rifles from militant hideouts in Rajouri district.

June 2:

8 infiltrators and 20 Pak army personnel were reportedly killed when Indian foreces retaliated and thwarted intrusion bid in Poonch sector, 2 LET militants were killed by BSF in Mohore (Udhampur). Seven people including 1 major, 4 militants   and counter insurgent were killed in militancy related incidents in Valley.

June 3:

Militants killed 1 RR jawans, 1 ex-militant and 1 women in different incidents in Kashmir valley. 1 Militant was killed  in Rajouri while 2 IEDs were detected and defused in Banihal. Farooq Abdullah vowed that killing of NC caders will not dampen their spirits. Purkhoo camp migrants held a meeting and demanded immediate release of relief to them.

June 4:

Counter insurgents and local people killed a militant in Gandoh (Doda) and recovered 1 UMG with 140 rounds from his possession, 17 civilians were wounded in a grenade attack in Lal Chowk Srinagar while militants attacked a security forces camp at Brah (Anantnag).

June 5:

Militants killed a girl after raping her and killed another civilian in two different incidents in Surankote (Poonch) while a VDC member and his daughter were injured when militants bombed their house at Halla village in Udhampur district. Hurriyat activist Ghulam Mohd Bhatt was arrested in Delhi. An amount of Rs 10 lakh cash, to be used for militant activities, was recovered from him. Mr Satish Raina, Advisor on minorities to CM, visited migrant camp at Kathua.

June 6:

3 Army jawans and 9 Pak intruders were killed at LoC in Poonch sector. 1 Militant and 1 civilian were killed in 2 different incidents in Koternaka (Rajouri). In a fierce gun battle at Narsangri, Kokernag 7 militant were believed to have been killed even if only 4 bodies were recovered so for. 50 structures  were also gutted in the operation. 1 More militant, a jawan and 2 ciilians were killed in another operation in Pulwama district. Pak is reportedly master minding Kargil type intrusion in Gurez sector.

June 7:

Police arrested a HM bomb expert, a Andhra Pradesh resident Mohd Sharief in Bishnah (Jammu). Police also recovered 3 grenades in Chatha area. Militants in army uniform failed to eliminate a NC leader at Rambelpora (Tangmarg). 1 militant was killed in Machil while a coolie was killed in Pak shelling in Gurez. Militants fired rockets on Army and SOG camps in Rajouri district killing and injuring many others including a civilian.

June 8: 

6 armymen were killed and 4 others injured in a mine blast triggered by militants in Kangan area.  An army jawan was killed in Pak shelling in Uri sector. SOG Budgam killed a militant in Srinagar. 5 car bombs were recovered from Shereefabad in South Kashmir. 3 militants are believed to have been got killed in an encounter in Khudwani (Anantnag). Rich tributes were paid to Ruchir Kumar, and other BJP activists who became victims of militants.

June 9:

Troops killed 2 HM militants in an encounter in Chattergul (Anantnag) 19 houses were damaged in intensified Pak shelling in Gurez sector. Police recovered arms consignments in Tawi area and foiled an attempt of ISI to revive KZF in Jammu region. 1 intruder was shot dead in Hiranagar sector.

June 10;

Militants massacred 4 family members in Surankote (Poonch) 3 family members were gunned down by militants at Tang-Bhatu (Bandipore), 1 more civilian was killed by militants in Bandipore area. Militants attacked police post Khrew in Pulwama district. Intrusion bid by militants was foiled by forces in Gurez.

June 11:

Militants killed a security jawan and abducted a released militant. A major tragedy was averted by timely detecting and defusing an IED at Boulevard (Srinagar). NC minority cell has demanded immediate release of cash relief to Kashmiri migrants.

June 12: 

2 security men and 1 civilian were killed and 9 others injured as militants detonated mines and bombs in Kashmir valley. A Pak army operator was arrested in Mendhar (Poonch).

June 13:

Valley observed a partial bandh in response to Hurriyat call on PMs visit to Valley 3 people including 1 infiltrator were killed in militancy related incidents in Valley. Post Wandhama migrants have flayed authorities for not releasing cash relief in favour of them.

June 14:

NC MLA Poonch Mr Ghulam Mohd Jan and a large number of civilians had a narrow escape, when Pakistani troops resorted to firing on a public meeting near LoC. 1 civilian was killed and 2 others injured in Pak firing in same district. Assistant Commandant BSF, 1 jawan and 2 militants were killed and 5 BSF personnel injured in an encounter in Ganderbal area. 9 army personnel were injured in a militant ambush in Handwara. Militants shot dead a J&K Fire Services personnel in Mahraj Bazar (Srinagar).

June 15:

Militants killed yet another NC leader-NC District Vice-President Kupwara Abdul Aziz Malik. 11 personnel ... 4 civilians and 2 militants were killed in different militancy related incidents. Army raided police station Handwara and made an identity parade there.

June 16:

Militants killed 3 family members of a counter insurgent. 2 militants, 1 jawan, 1 civilian boy were killed in an encounter at Nathpora (Bandipore), 4 militants and 2jawans were killed in another encounter at Khargam (Pattan), 1 civilian was killed by militants in Anantnag district. Forces killed a militant at Kurgi Mangat (Banihal) 2 army jawans were injured when their petrol party was ambushed by militants at Bachin Wali (Surankote).

June 17:

Forces gunned down a top HM militant in Banihal, 4 militants were killed and 4 jawans injured across the Kashmir valley in militancy related incidents.

June 18:

Militants targetted police post Hari Budha in Surankote (Poonch), killed 1 jawan and injured 9 others. 1 jawan was abducted by the militants. 4 security personnel including a captain were killed when militants detonated a land mine on Srinagar-Leh national highway near Prang, Kangan. 2 militants were killed by forces across the Valley, 3 militants escaped in an encounter in Mansar (Udhampur). There was a bomb hoax in Bhalwal jail.

June 19:

Militants gunned down a civilian, a surrendered militant. Forces killed a militant in Rajouri district. Ten people, 3 policemen, 3 militants, 2 counter insurgents and 2 civilians including an NC leader were killed in militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley. NC activist Abdul Salam Dar was killed by militants in Budgam district.

June 20:

8 persons including 2 militants and 3 counter insurgents were killed in militancy related incidents across the state 2 civilians were shot dead by militants in Thanamandi (Rajouri). Counter insurgents were killed in Kupwara district.

June 21:

6 people including 2 foreign militants were killed in different militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley. Indian soldiers had a narrow escape as militants targetted an army convoy in Pargwal.

June 22:

Militants attempt to kill 2 BJP members, Daleep Singh and Amar Singh was foiled in Doda district 3 separatist leaders including Shabir Shah and Ali Shah Geelani were put under house arrest.

June 23:

RR killed, 3 top militants and arrested 5 recruits in Doda district. A police cop and 1 civilian were killed in Kashmir valley.

June 24: Militants ambushed BSF vehicle and killed a BSF jawan while 1 another was injured in  Gool, Udhampur, 3 top militants  were among 6 killed in militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley. 1 SPO was gunned down by militants in Kandi, Kiteoneka (Rajouri).

June 25: 

11 people including 6 militans and 2 security personnel were killed in Kashmir valley. Lt Col Ragvan and 2 mercenaries were killed in Machil sector. Chairman Jamia Masjid Kishtwar and NC activist of NC Gl Nabi Lone was gunned down by militants, 3 girls were injured in Pakfiring in Poonch.

June 26:

A major was killed and 4 jawans injured in a landmine blast in Nowshera (Rajouri). A militant was killed in Surankote (Poonch). 4 people were killed in Kashmir valley.

June 27:

2 militants were killed in an encounter in Nowshehra sector. 5 people, including 4 militants were killed in Kashmir valley.

June 28:

4 people including NC leader were killed in militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley. Militants killed Ali Mohd Khan, brother of Haji Buland Khan MLC and prominent NC leader, in Arnas. Militants shot dead 2 civilians in Rajouri, 8 Indian jawans were injured and 3 Pak troops killed in exchange of fire near LoC in Jammu region.

June 29:

Militants gunned 17 civilians belonging to three families at Morha Bachachi (Surankote). 4 security personnel were among 13 killed in militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley. 11 people including 6 CRPF jawans here injured in a bomb blast in Doda.

June 30:

Militants massacred 12 Hindu labourers from HP and UP at Sandhu Anantnag and gunned down 2 counter insurgents in South Kashmir. Militants killed 2 civilians in Arnas (Udhampur). Police recovers explosives from Majalta Udhampur and is hunting for the militants believed to be hiding in the area.

July 1:

Militants killed Lamberdar Amar Singh at Hubi (Rajouri). 2 militants were killed by troops in Poonch district. 3 militants were among 7 people killed in militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley.

July 2:

In yet another gruesome massacre militants killed 9 minority community members at village Ari in Poonch district. Security forces killed 2 militants and militants killed 2 army man and 1 civilian in Kashmir valley. APHC leaders alleged that centre and state governments were hatching conpsiracy to kill them

July 3:

Militants kill Abdul Gani, block president Congress (I) and cousin of PCCI Chief Chowdry Aslam, at Hari Morha in Surankote. 3 RR jawans were among 6 people killed in Kashmir valley.

July 4:

Militants killed a major, an army jawan and 3 civilian in Kashmir valley. 1 militant was also killed by security forces. 1 Army jawan ws killed and a woman injured in Pak firing in Rajouri district.

July 5:

4 RR jawans and 2 intruders were killed as troops foiled an inrtrusion of 50 odd militants in Rajouri district.A BSF SI and a jawan were killed in firing across the border. Militants gunned down a civilian and injured other 2 in different operations in Kashmir valley.

July 6:

Militants gunned down 4 persons including a cop while a BSF constable was killed in Pak firing in Kashmir valley 2 HM militants who were involved in Mendhar massacre were killed by troops.

July 7:

2 civilians killed and many injured in Pak firing in Pallanwala. 5 militants, a jawan, NC activist among 8 killed in militancy related incidents in Kashmir valley.  Militants gun down 5 civilian in Doda district.

July 8:

A BSF jawan was killed in Kashmir and an army jawan and a woman killed in Jammu in firing across the border.

July 9:

Security forces killed a militant in Surankote while militants snatched 5 rifles from VDC members in Mahore (Udhampur). Forces kill 2militants while militants kill a CPM activist and a woman in Kashmir valley Pak arms dump and ISI office blasted and 10 Pak army men killed as Indian forces relatiate in Noshera sector.

July 10:

Militants killed a civilian and injured 7 persons in a blast in Anantnag 1 civilian was killed in Pakfiring in Gurez sector.India troops foiled attempts of intrusion killing 25 intruders and 11 Pak army men in Jammu region. 23 boys were rescued from militants. DG RR says that Kargil defeat will demoralise ultras.

July 11:

Militants kill 2 civilian in Rajouri district. 3 militants and RRjawan killed and 5 injured in a gunbattle in Surankot (Poonch) militants kill 7 people including 3 counter insurgents in Kashmir valley.

July 12:

5 militants were killed in Kashmir valley. A businessman was killed by militants. 9 Pak troops and 11 intruders were killed in Jammu region as Indian forces foil attempt of intrusion.

July 13:

Militants kill DIG BSF, Deputy Commandant, SI, Constable and wife of a constable in an attack on their residential quarters in Bandipore. They also hold 12 family members of Personnel hostage. 1 ultra was killed in retaliation 5 militants were shot dead in Rajouri.

July 14:
