During the last nine years of turmoil leading to the ethnic-cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits, thousands of Pandit houses have been destroyed by the Communal element in the Valley. Nearly 11 thousand houses have been burnt, and property worth crores looted or destroyed. On April 26, the communal vested interests opposed to Pandits' return set ablaze two abandoned houses of Dilip Kumar and Shiban Nath. The houses were completely razed to the ground. The houses were located in Hashroo village of Tehsil Chadoora, Budgam.
