To provide succour and hope to the displaced Kashmiri minority, uprooted from their homes and hearths, devastated and terrorised by fierce fanatics, the Delhi Administration and the Muncipal Corporation Delhi, appointed as teachers such qualified persons who are registered in the NCT of Delhi as displaced persons, on contractual basis, extending their appointments from year to year, till restoration of normalcy in the Valley.

Needless to state that adequate steps need to be taken for restoration of normalcy in Kashmir. Till then suitable measures of rendering employment and other assistance, need to be continued. It is learnt that the Govt. of NCT of Delhi has decided to discontinue the services of displaced persons as teachers with effect from the beginning of the new academic session.

The cause of anguish and sufferings of the displaced Kashmiri minority deserves sympathy and understanding on the part of Govt of NCT of Delhi, necessitating continuation of displaced persons as teachers.
